Heavenly Hands PLLC A Little Bit of Heaven Here On Earth

 What Can I Expect?

imageThis will be my first massage, what can I expect?

You should expect a comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing experience.  A typical full body massage will work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck and shoulders.  The first session will be slightly longer to allow time for paperwork, questions, massage, and discussion.  You will be asked questions about your physical condition, medical history, and stress level.  We will then discuss your concerns, your goals and develop a game plan.  This will include what areas of the body will be worked on, how to get on the table, choose the tools (oils/lotions/scents/music) to be used, and answer any additional questions you may have.

Your massage therapist will then leave the room to allow you to disrobe and get on the heated table.  You may adjust the level of heat as needed.  This is about you!  Your comfort level is essential to the relaxation of the massage.  You may decide what amount of clothing you prefer to wear for your own comfort.  A sheet and blanket is provided for appropriate draping.  The only part of your body exposed is the section being massaged; this ensures that your modesty is respected at all times.   After a few minutes, your massage therapist will knock on the door to see if you are ready to continue.

The lights will be dimmed and the music turned on.  We will set up a pressure scale at the beginning of the massage.  Depending on the technique, there may be sensitive areas.  Please do not hesitate to let your massage therapist know during the massage if you are experiencing any discomfort.  Your massage therapist will also continually inquire regarding your level of comfort and make adjustments accordingly.
This is your time to enjoy, relax and feel pampered!  You are in control.  You may want to close your eyes and relax or talk.  These responses are welcome.  For your safety, all information within your session will be strictly confidential in compliance with all state and national laws.

After your massage, your massage therapist will leave the room for you to change.  When you’re finished, please open the door and come into the lobby so we can discuss the results of the massage, your likes/dislikes, offer a glass of water, and schedule your next appointment.
