Dear Current Aetna/Cigna Clients,
After much deliberation, I have decided to end my preferred provider status with the Healthways WholeHealth Network (Cigna, Aetna, & Corvel) insurance company, effective 5-29-2017. We will continue to accept your insurance; however we will do so as out-of-network providers.
At Heavenly Hands PLLC, we have always maintained a high standard of care for our patients, and have been unwilling to compromise or cut corners just because of insurance company shortcomings. I have avoided using cheap materials, settling for a minimum amount of education and keeping outdated equipment. However, in the current environment of managed health care, many insurance companies are adding more and more restrictions on what they will allow for their subscribers. It has reached the point where it is impossible for us to offer the same high quality massage therapy that other patients can choose.
So, rather than lower our standards that we have maintained for 10 years, we have chosen to eliminate our preferred status with these insurance companies.
What does this mean for you? In most cases, you can continue to have your massage care at our office. However, you will need to read your specific insurance contract to determine if your benefits are changed by going to an out-of-network provider. We have found that most of our patients have chosen to pay a little more copay, and have the high level of care that we provide.
Of course you may choose to continue coming to our office on a private pay basis without proving medical necessity and necessary preauthorization.
We appreciate your loyalty, and hope that this has only a positive impact on your massage and wellness care. Please call our office (360-659-9659) or e-mail email@example.com if you have any more questions about your benefits. Thanks!
